Recovery Curriculum

Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Whole School Work

As a whole school we will be looking at the book 'Here We Are: Notes for living on planet Earth' By Oliver Jeffers.

This story allows us to look at the world we live in from the perspective of a father talking to his newborn child. Showing us the wonders of the world, the differences between us all and the greatness of the planet we are a small part of.

Nurture, Support and Mental Wellbeing will be at the heart of what we do.

Our Children will start the day with classroom worship. We will then focus on Maths and English during the mornings.

Our afternoons will comprise of a mixture of sessions on wellbeing and resilience building, RE, project work about our class capital city names, outdoor learning, Physical Education - alongside some small group intervention work within our bubble.

We will build on this as the weeks go on with the aim that by October half term we will be back to having our full broad, balanced and rich curriculum offer available to all of our children.

We are very excited to have all of our children back in September, and also very excited to welcome our new starters in Nursery and Reception class.

Below you will find the Recovery Curriculum detail for each Key Stage and how we will support all children with catching up on the learning we were unable to provide in full during the summer term.
