Welcome to Little Browsers Nursery!

We are a happy, thriving Nursery community within the heart of Cinnamon Brow.

We share the school's vision from Jeremiah 29:11 and believe that God has a good and special plan for each of us.

Little Browsers welcomes children aged two and three before they begin our onsite Pre-school nursery.  We are known as Dublin class within the school and work closely with our Pre-school (London Class), as well as our two recepton classes (Cardiff and Edinburgh).  We believe that every child deserves the best start in life, creating opportunities to help enable each child to reach their full potential.  Children develop quickly in the early years and a child's experiences between birth and five can have a major impact on their future life chances.  We provide high-quality early years education, centred around each individual child and form a strong partnership between home and school.

If you have any questions or would like more information about our nursery provision, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for considering Cinnamon Brow Nursery,

Ann Batley

What we are doing:

Our topics this term are 'Lifecycles' followed by 'Journeys'.

We will begin with our role play area as '5 little speckled frogs'.  The children will be given opportunities to explore different pond animals, especially frogs and tadpoles!  Some of the books we will be looking at are 'Little Green Frog' by Ginger Swift which is a lovely lift-the-flap book all about who lives in the pond; and 'Splish, Splash Ducky!' by Luch Cousins which is a book celebrating rainy days.

We will then change our role play into a garage and explore different vehicles. Some of our key texts will be 'The Wheels on the Bus' published by IglooBooks and 'We go Travelling' by Sheena Roberts, where we will explore the wonderful different journeys we can make.  We will also be singing the nursery rhyme, 'The Wheels on the Bus' together, so it would be wonderful if you could practice this at home together!

Why not click on the links above to watch the stories being read and talk about them together?

We will also be following Phase One Phonics from the Letters and Sounds programme, along with Word Aware, to help develop your child's early phonics, listening and speaking skills.

Have fun!
