What we are doing
Road Safety - gathering parent voice
As part of road safety week, members of our school parliament have been speaking to our parents / carers about the parking situation at school. We will be looking at the results of the survey with parliament and they will be writing out with the results
This year's school parliament want to keep on the good work started by last year's parliament who had a passion for reducing plastic use.
They are working with the global citizens group to look at how we can reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles in school. They have written letters to Warrington Borough Council about the individual milk bottles used in EYFS and at snack time. In addition, they have completed audits about the use of single-use plastic water bottles in school and are now working on a campaign to reduce this to zero use! Well done to you all!
Meeting Charlotte Nichols MP
Our school parliament met with our MP Charlotte Nichols. They asked her some really good questions about her role in parliament and shared information about what they are passionately working on this year including our work on plastic reduction. We were very proud of them all.
Grace Parliament
We were very proud of our school parliament as they took part in a special Grace School Parliament with seven local Church of England schools. They shared their pledge for us as a school to reduce our use of single use plastic. They shared their passion and were an inspiration. Our next steps are for them to lead us in our participation of 'Letters for Creation' over the spring and summer terms.
