Year 1 showed off their knowledge of plants in a creative way today!

The children explore scientific theories and then make predictions. They learn by conducting experiments to find out for themselves how the world works. Here, they were exploring air resistance, finding ways to make the parachute travel more slowly.

When year 2 were learning about healthy eating and hygiene, they also explored how hospitals have changed over the last 200 years. They conducted a little experiment to see what role soap plays in keeping us clean.

We had a Mad Science assembly and then some children registered to join an after school club.

Using scientific vocabulary is a key element of our science lessons.

Children enjoy exploring scientific concepts during OPAL play.

KS1 investigated which bugs live in our school grounds....

..... and made bug hotels for them to live in!
